Andrea Connolly
Principal, Nevada Learning Academy
Andrea Connolly provides leadership for the Nevada Learning Academy (NVLA). NVLA delivers online education to students across Nevada and assists over 10,000 students each year earn credits toward graduation. She brought her 22 years of experience at Elementary, Middle, and High school levels to develop increased credit opportunities and ensure equity and access to distance learning to all students in Nevada. Connolly and her team have expanded the course offerings at NVLA to include more Career and Technical Education, Dual Credit, and AP courses. Students leave high school with more than a diploma – they leave with industry certifications, college credits, and 21st Century skills.
Her educational background includes a Master of Educational Leadership from University of Nevada-Las Vegas, a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation from The Ohio State University. She also holds a Commercial Pilot License and is a Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument.
