Matthew Lonn, Ed. D
State Director / Superintendent
Dr. Matthew Lonn has been in education as both a teacher and administrator since 2004. Matthew completed his undergrad degree in Social Behavioral Science – Teaching from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in 2004, Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the Concordia University St. Paul in 2013, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership specializing in organizational management of education systems in 2018 from the University of Mary.
Matthew taught Economics, Government, and History at Red Wing, MN High School from 2005 to 2013. He then transitioned to North Dakota Center for Distance Education (NDCDE) as an assistant principal. He is currently the Director/Superintendent for NDCDE working collaboratively with North Dakota’s schools and communities to design, implement, and assess innovative approaches to education that can help kids learn.
